Christmas Festivities!

Doug's Sister Jessica made this awesome beanie/beard for Landon. I think it makes him look older. What do you think?
About to open presents with the Laters.
Landon's first time meeting Santa was a total success. He got a sweet football toy for sitting on his lap.

This is where Landon spent a large chunk of his vacation... In aunt Jenny's arms, which was a huge help when Doug and I needed a break. The other time was divided amongst the other family members.
This is my favorite decoration at my parent's house. My mom made all of our stockings and I think they are so cute. If only I was good at stuff like this we might have homemade stockings too. All of the girl's stockings have our spouse's name sprouting from a letter in our names and my brother's wives names are across the top. Very creative my mother is.

These stockings belong to the grandkids and are on the opposite side of the banister. Landon's and baby girl Ludlow's stockings were the new additions this year.
The grandkids did the nativity scene for us at the Clark Christmas party. As you can see Landon played his part very well as baby Jesus wrapped in red and white striped swaddling clothes.
Shepard Sadie (second from the left) has the most serious of faces as she plays her part. This little niece of mine is so funny and so full of energy. This pic makes me laugh every time I see it.
We got to ride on the Polar Express with the whole Later family complete with hot chocolate, a cookie, and a bell given to us by Santa Claus

We also had a great White Elephant party with the Clark siblings and spouses. Am I sad to say that my camera died and I have no pictures to show for it. Some of the gifts given were placenta shampoo, a hat that had a hand on top (that flipped the bird with the touch of a button), elk meat and mustard pickles from the year 2000 to name a few. Doug and I gave a homemade red dickie, and some ridiculous lingerie that has been floating around my parents house since my wedding. I was the proud recipient of a squirrel calendar and Doug got a live pet rat courtesy of my brother Adam. Luckily my 1 year old nephew Alex and the rat were friends at first sight and so my sister Sarah decided to give the pet rat a good home so that we didn't have to. Thanks Sarah and Brady I hope the rat doesn't stink up your brand new house!
