1 Month Old!

Our little man is a month old! Time is moving to fast already. I just want him to stay little forever.I love his Christmas pjs. The reindeer on the feet are my favorite part.
Hangin out in his car seat.
Have you ever seen a baby with this much hair. I love it but it's starting to look a bit mulletlike. He needs a haircut already. But we have fun attempting to style that mop.

Future D.O.

Some of the faculty at Doug's school caught wind that Doug and I had a baby boy. So they got a book and this cute onesie for him. He's going to be just like his daddy someday :)
I thought this picture was cute. This is also Doug's attempt at No Shave November. To bad he doesn't grow enough on the sides of his face for a nice Decembeard.

Thanksgiving At Children's Mercy Hospital

Unfortunately we spent most of Landon's first Thanksgiving in the hospital. On Tuesday morning (the 22nd) he woke up with a high fever and that landed us in the ER. The poor little guy had to have his blood drawn along with a urine culture and a spinal tap. The doctors had to stick his poor little back 7 different times to finally get a sample. I was in the room for the first 3 attempts and I was crying along with him. It was so hard to listen to him scream. Thank goodness I wasn't there for the other 4 tries. Once all that was done we anxiously waited for a diagnosis. The doctors told us that they couldn't rule out bacterial meningitis because of his spinal tap culture. This scared us to death, but luckily the next day they came in with the good news that he had viral meningitis and we would be able to go home the next day. So we were discharged from the hospital in the afternoon on Thanksgiving. It was a little late for us to cook our own Thanksgiving feast but thanks to our awesome neighbors we had a delicious meal brought to our house.
There was one funny moment during our stay. Doug got up with Landon in the middle of the night to feed him and he guzzled 5 oz of milk in record time. Doug tried to get a burp out of the little one and instantly found himself covered in a waterfall of regurgitated milk. You could hear the milk splatter all over the floor. I had to literally cover my mouth so that I wouldn't laugh. And unfortunately for my poor husband he had on the only scrubs and socks he had brought to the hospital. When we woke up to go to school his socks were super crusty and he had baby vomit all over him. Welcome to fatherhood Douglas!

Jenny's Wedding and Landon's First Photo Shoot

November has been a very busy month for the Clark family. Unfortunately we were in the hospital and weren't able to make it to Sean and Megan's wedding on November 4th. But just
a week after we brought Landon home we flew home with Grandma Judy to Utah for Jenny and Jordan's wedding. While we were there Landon got to meet quite a few of his cousins. Here's a pic of all the nieces and nephews on the Clark side.

Landon also had his first photo shoot while we were there. Thanks to Ashlee for taking his pictures and making a super cute announcement for him.

Going Home

After a long stay in the hospital we were able to take Landon home. Doug's one request was to take him home sporting some Utah Jazz apparel. Thank you to aunt Jenny for supplying that.

Landon Douglas Later

On November 3, 2011 we welcomed our sweet baby boy into our family. Landon Douglas Later weighed in at 8 lbs. and was 20 3/4inches long
. We are happy to have him here despite our sleep deprivation.

The Beginning

Here's my attempt at starting a blog. I can't promise that I will update it as often as I should, but I'll try real hard. I never thought I'd have time for a blog, but since we live so far away I needed a way to keep in touch with family and friends and post pictures of my cute little boy.
