Thanksgiving and December Decorating

Thanksgiving is a great holiday and I have so many things to be thankful for.  After being in hospital last year with a sick baby, we were happy to finally be able to spend turkey day with our friends the West Family!  I made my very first turkey (yes we have been married 3 and half years and this was my first turkey), and it was delicious.  We cooked up a huge turkey, so we had a TON of leftovers. However, we were totally okay with that.  We ended the night with a Later family tradition..the first viewing of Christmas Vacation during the 2012 Christmas season!

We decorated our house after our turkey coma.  One of my favorite things to do is to take out all of my Christmas decorations.  It gets me so excited for Christmas.  I love it.  On the right is obviously my tree.  And on the left... Landon's idea of helping me put the ornaments up.

We took a little trip downtown to the plaza in
KC to see the lights.  It was a bit chilly so Landon
was wrapped up like a burrito the entire time.
He didn't seem to mind it, which surprised me.

This kid might be the next upcoming beat boxer... take a look!

Happy belated Thanksgiving...and we are looking forward to a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

1 Year Appt and a visit from Jude :)

I still am in denial that my little baby boy isn't a baby anymore.  Although I am loving all of the new things that he is learning and he is so much fun!

Waiting for Dr. Roger's to come have a look.  Everything went routinely and we have a very skinny, but healthy little man, which I couldn't be happier about.

He likes all the lights in the office...however, he wasn't a huge fan of the five needles the nurse stuck in his legs one by one :(

Doesn't he look so innocent?  I love his little smile... On to my frustration.. aren't one year olds supposed to be somewhat mobile?

Cause he would rather do this... Someone teach this kid to walk or crawl already!!!

He doesn't have any teeth yet either.. which makes it hard to feed him Normal human food.  And he sucks on the edges of his blankie when he gets sleepy....Let me tell you, that makes for one stinky blankie!  I wash it all the time and the edges still look like they have been dipped in spaghetti sauce.  It's  disgusting.

In November my Mom decided to pay us a little visit.  I love when she comes.. I now have a freezer full of homemade frozen food for days when I don't want to cook.  It's so nice.  And we did a little Christmas shopping, but Landon was obviously more interested in looking at the toys than taking a cute picture.  Thanks Jude! We miss you!
